#1122 Opal ph/homo Kastanie X Kastanie ph Amel

Postby Adsclarke » 21 Jun 2011, 12:12

Hey,

This was a breeding we really wanted to work this year and it was getting a little late in the season but luckily she has laid!

The Opal has some great colours and could be homozygous Kastanie - This breeding is to test it out. Either we will have some Kastanie and Mandarin if luck goes our way or we will have normals het Amel Lavender Kastanie. I'll take either but it would be great if he proved to be homozygous Kastanie.

17 eggs laid 18th June

Hi all,

This clutch has hatched :)

It turns out that the Opal is het Kastanie (not homozygous) and the Kastanie is not het Amel!

We have Normals het Amel Kastanie Lavender and Kastanies het Amel Lavender.

Cheers!

Thats not a bad outcome.
Where is the pictures :?
Chaos is found in greatest abundance wherever order is being sought.
It always defeats order, because it is better organised.
