Morph researchers wanted!

As ever IV is looking at expanding our reptile morph guides to be the most up to date and complete guide anywhere on the internet. This means we need to stay on top of new developments of species already included but also to look at new species to add to further our aim to illustrate as many morphs as we can.

Until now I have been alone in this quest but as more is added I am in need of help from people that 'know their species' and can help to keep the guide up to date.

Species that I would like to see added are:
Boas, (there will be seperate sections for each subspecies, so eg. B.c.imperator would be a different section to B.c.constrictor)
Reticulated Python
Green Iguana
Bearded Dragon
Crested Gecko

Existing sections that need researchers to keep up to date especially are:
Royal Pythons
Leopard Geckos
Western Hognoses

We will also welcome researchers for the other existing sections too.

Researchers will need to have a good knowledge of their chosen species. You will have access to a new forum section to discuss and report on findings and also be credited in the members list as a researcher. Also a 'morphresearch@iansvivarium.com' email address will be made available for you to use for making contact with potential new contributors.

If you would like to be a volunteer morph researcher for IV please send me a PM stating which species/section you would like to 'look after' - this can be either an existing section or if you have a particular interest in morphs of species not listed we can look at getting it added.

Together we can help to build the worlds first complete guide to morphs!

I Like the idea Of The Green Iguana Morph Guide But wouldn't It Be best to do an "Iguanidae" morph guide? or would that be too complicated? As you have The green Iguana which is different in colours depending on its region then theres the actual morphs. Also there is Fijis Iguana, desert iguana, spiny-tailed iguana, marine iguana and few more lol.

The green ig section is already started, but I got very lost looking at all the different localities, which for completeness should all be included.

Different iguana species would have their own seperate sections with all their own localities and morphs, just as the different (eg.) kingsnake species currently do, so if you're up for a good challenge....

Im actually thinking of the challenge hahaha, And i get what you mean now about different iguana spieces having there own section lol i think also Anoles and basilisk are types of iguanids

yup, sections are split by the animals scientific name (Iguana iguana is whats been started), so other iguanids would also be seperate. At the moment the only lizard we have is leopard geckos under the Gekkonidae heading so a new family heading of Iguanidae would be added.

every little will help, especially with base morphs and whether they are recessive, codominant, dominant, line-bred, polygenetic etc The combinations I think is the easy bit, just updating as new stuff is done.

crested morphs dont seem to be inherited like for eg leo morphs - what you get out is a bit random, even pairing two the same will not give you offspring of the same morph?
