Thanks.

Mice with shiny hairs are called satin mice.
There are also longhair, curly haired, fuzz and hairless mice.

We like the normal and satin the most.

I'll post some new pics so now and then.

Yup, quite correct &, also, quite lovely |D

Beautiful creatures, but, such a lot of work as I visit my own Colony each & every day to feed / clean as I cannot abide leaving animals in horrid living conditions.

Your 'guys' look like they are enjoying their accommodation with all of their toys ;)

Regards. Lex

Ya,

You will find that it's the males who produce the most smell - no offence intended to the male gender here ;)

That's right, male's produce the most smell and that's why we have only 3, sometimes 4 of them.
When new mice are born we select males and females, we feed those males to our snakes or they'll be sold to a local petshop.
Bisides that we clean the male's accomodations twice a week.

Well the last mice I had was sold to me as a female and her smell was sooo strong to me! I think Nikki has Trillion now, along with a couple of others from Danica - maybe it was just my sense of smell

Yus,

I did not say that Mice do not smell, as they quite clearly do!

However, of the two gender it's the males that provide the most pungent aroma ;)

Funnily enough when I had loads of mice I never noticed the smell. But that was years ago :)
