Breedings and hatchlings 2012

Postby JimKornnatter » 03 May 2012, 12:01

Since I sold off 90% of my collection because of several issues, this year will be very stress-free. I just kept my Ghostblood ph Charcoal pair (female might be hom charcoal too), my Tessera het Striped and an '11 Piedsided Aneryblood ph Hypo Charcoal. Two clutches this season, maybe with one or two surprises...

#1 Ghostbloodred 66% poss. het. Charcoal x Ghostbloodred poss. het./hom. Charcoal

12.04.2012 19 eggs, no slugs

Image Image

Expected offspring:
Ghostbloodred ph Charcoal
Platinumbloodred
(if poss. het. proves out)

#2 Ghostbloodred 66% poss. het. Charcoal x Tessera het. Striped

3.05.2012 14 eggs, no slugs

Expected offspring:
Normal het. Hypo Anery Bloodred 50% poss. het. (Charcoal) Striped
Tessera het. Hypo Anery Bloodred 50% poss. het. (Charcoal) Striped

Fingers crossed for nice results and maybe for one or two surprises, I'm going to post the hatchlings here as well.

Thanks!!! That's my personal lineage I created from BHB Pewter and Sven Faes Hypoblood lineage a few years ago. This year is the very first season I sell triple-hom. offspring of this lineage. Actually it was a Hypo Pewter project I started in 2006, but some Anerybloods popped out in F1 generation, so it changed to an Ghostblood/Hypo Pewter/Platinumblood project. Back in 2006 I wanted to create another Hypo Pewter lineage than Serpencos', because at that time all Hypo Pewters looked pretty much the same because there was just a single breeder who produced them: Rich Z. I started my own project in order to get some different Hypo Pewters. Result is, the Hypo Pewters have pretty much the same look, than the known lineages, but surprisingly the Ghostbloods of that lineage differ compared to e.g. Lexcorn lineage or Rich Hume lineage. Took me 6 years to be at that point :yay:

Now, I do want to see this Ghostblood look with the Tessera pattern.

Meanwhile I'm pretty sure the female is also hom. for Charcoal, so there's a good chance to get a nice mix of Ghostbloods and Platinumbloods in the clutch. I'm going to sell my Tesseras het Hypo Anery Blood ph Charcoal (if I get more than my holdbacks) combined with a ghostblood or platinumblood counterpart of the other clutch. Or I sell them particular...whatever the customers want. The customer is always right. :D :D

If you're interested (or anyone else) just let me know and I'm sure we can work something out for Hamm show in SEP

I have to agree, your male Ghost blood is a very very pretty snake and well worth the time invested to get there (and I don't even like grey corns! :D )
