new viv builds

Postby alstotton » 31 Mar 2012, 17:05

Got busy over last few weeks building myself some nice new vivs for my pituophis.
I used this type of set up very successfully in the 90's but in melamine, they were fine but the longevity was always a problem.Using an all plastic construction should avoid that hurdle. This design defo suits more nervous snakes or ones that like to burrow.
Vivs or Racks? that age old question no longer applies when you have both combined. the underfloor trays are 1m x 500cm and act as a perfect hide/dark spot

you don't have a vid somewhere on how you build this? :D
How much did the material cost you?
Still a lot to learn :)

I like this as well allthough I wonder if the snakes will be visable often :?
Or will they be in that dark part all the time? If I would use the exact same design, Moroi would never show itself while Lou would always be on the upper side :)
Still a lot to learn :)
