Ya Johan,

Had you not been visiting at the time I would, probably, not have paired up the Hypomelanistic Lavender female this Season.

Her lineage is, totally, unrelated to the Coral Avalanche 'Icarus' & it will be an interesting clutch to view when neonates start to appear ;)

Axanthic is a word not used much in cornsnakes but I'll have a bash at explaining :)

Axanthic means no yellow
Xanthic means with yellow

Lex's Axanthic Butter Stripe = Amel, Anery, Caramel, Stripe.

Some people call this a Xanthic snow (A snow with the caramel gene), some a Axanthic butter. It is all a matter of preference.

Hope you don't mind me butting in here Lex?

OOOOH - Coral Avalanche X Hypo Lavender :D

Cheers

Thank you,

It's not too easy to take a good photograph of a Coral Avalanche I can tell ya!

Can't say that I will be posting him to you anytime soon, but, there's always a chance for some of his progeny ;)

Up date on the successful pairings & not in any particular order.

Posting with pictures gives an idea of the ultimate appearance of the progeny |D

Here is a young male that I did not consider in the, original, breeding strategy for 2010. However, he is a very capable little chap.

Meet Anerythristic hetero Lava, Caramel (not named this fellow yet):

And here she is..........

Anerythristic Pewter (an assumption that will be proven with this pairing).

She has the most unusual 'yellow belly' & also beautiful marble eyes, thus she is named 'Marbles':

Yus, there's going to be some interesting results this Season |D

The young lady of the pairing:

This gal is from one of our Caramel Motley x Butter Stripe pairings in 2007. Another new gal for this Season & such a stunner ;)

Ya, this pairing will produce our 1st ever Caramel Stripe progeny. Looking forward to seeing these kids.

Not, absolutely, sure on who that may be (all depends on the ability of the selected male(s) as one is a youngster & may not be sufficiently confident).

Here is a March 2010 up date photo of the gal:

GHOST BLOODRED with the most extreme lateral diffusion. Not so obvious in the photo granted, however, believe me when I say she is simply stunning |D

Lex

Up date due on this gal.

Paired up with our LAVENDER hetero Diffused, Hypo male.

Therefore the mating is:

LAVENDER hetero Diffused, Hypo x GHOST BLOODRED

Project Progeny _

25% Hypomelanistic Bloodred hetero Lavender, Anery
25% Bloodred hetero Hypo, Lavender, Anery
25% Hypomelanstic hetero Diffused, Lavender, Anery
25% Wild Type hetero Diffused, Lavender, Hypo, Anery

Ya,

She has these subdued pastel colours & is looking rather coy here ;)

Having said that, she is a duplicate of her Grandfather 'Anubis' with respect to behaviour.........she's very nosy |D
