Thankya Lone,

How's the pairings going @ your place, any luck yet?

Regards. Lex

Nahhh...
Until today, I have had one pairing in all.
Last year, everything went smoothly by using a mating box but for some reason, this doesn't seem to work this year.
So now I have decided to change approach. I have just this afternoon moved the males to the females' boxes to let them stay for a while - and now they are bustling around almost all of them.

So I keep my fingers crossed for at least one or two clutches O:)
Best wishes,
Lone

Yup,

A change in strategy is what's needed.

Our Hondurans are behaving quite oddly this Season - although always later to pair up than the P. guttatus - they are not particularly interested in one another atm.

Therefore, against normal rules both gender are sharing the Vivarium from last night ;)

Returned from the FBH Conference + IHS Doncaster show this weekend.

It was great to be with old friends again & enjoy a social event in the evening (post FBH Conference).

The IHS Doncaster show was, as expected, extremely busy & I will admit that I had forgotten all about the 1st clutch of the Season being due to hatch @ this time!

Upon return we checked in on the animals & found that the HYPOMELANISTIC BLOODRED PIED-SIDED female had presented a second clutch (not paired up since initial mating).

Fertile Eggs _ 5 Infertile _ 2

Not a bad Welcome Home :D

However, the jewel in the crown comes next..................

Yus Lone,

The 'bald' one is one of the Hypo Bloodred kids ;)

We have 2 that are presenting with such clean heads, can't remember off-hand if the other is also a Hypo Bloodred or a simple Bloodred though.

Need to catch up on some sleep after the long weekend!

Thankya Del,

It's certainly rekindled the 'spark' with the P guttatus clutches this year ;)

We're pretty much on a high with respect to these kids :mmm:
